About Organic Denmark
Danish organic producers and consumers are members of the organization, Økologisk Landsforening. In international terms the organization is called Organic Denmark.
Organic Denmark has taken the lead within the European organic movement in terms of innovation and high-quality standards and has successfully brought together organic farmers, companies and consumers.
This is the basis for working both politically and commercially for an ambitious strategy that aims to transform 30 percent of the Danish farmland into organic production and increase the organic consumption to 30 percent within 2030.
The ambitious organic policy and the strong organization between farmers, consumers and businesses has resulted in an organic market share at 12 percent, which makes Denmark the country in the world where organic foods have the largest market share.
